Husky - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Sweety
Description
Sweety is probably at least three years old. She was live-trapped after living wild for more than six months in the Fairbanks area. When finally caught her collar had grown into her neck so badly that she was sore and infected for quite some time. Sweety is extremely shy and difficult to handle. But she's a dream on a leash! She is an escape artist and will chew, jump, climb and jerk to get loose or free from either a pen or a tether. Sweety worries about other dogs in her space. She barks and reacts inappropriately sometimes. She actually LIKES some male dogs, but generally feels threatened by any female dogs. Sweety is now in excellent health. She has learned the joys of running in harness as part of a team, and she's getting easier to work with and seems to enjoy life, and being around people a little bit more. Sweety is not an "Easy" dog...but she is a rewarding friend. Sweety participated in the first two days of the Limited North American Championship Sled Dog Race in the 8-dog class. She needs more practice and LOTS of patience to become a comfortable member of a canine pack. Perhaps you'd like to make her your special partner? Email daisyacres@mosquitonet.com or phone 907-488-9685 to find out more or to meet Sweety.
