Husky - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Minnie
Description
Minnie came in to FNSB Animal Control from Rural Alaska as a pet. She was rescued through the Second Chance League and was fostered, trained and adopted by an Iditarod musher! She came to Daisy Acres because the Iditarod musher couldn't afford to race, and she wanted the dog to be promoted and she knew that Minnie wanted to be in a smaller kennel. Minnie didn't eat when she first came here! But after she was brought into the house and allowed a few "pet privledges" she became a happy and devoted dog. Minnie is a capable and talented sled dog. She can run distance, she can run sprint (although she's not fast enough to win.) She even runs lead! But, as her name describes, she's rather small. She has a lovely coat. But she can be standoffish with strangers and snotty to other dogs. She's been camping, she's been racing, she's given rides and trained puppies. She's housetrained, but she's not a plug-right-into-your-family sort of dog. Expect a trial period of adjustment. She'd much rather go back to being an indoor pet and would maybe be happy to give up mushing completely. She tends to choose her people and her activities herself. If you'd like to meet Minnie or any of the other foster dogs here, please contact daisyacres@mosquitonet.com or call Lynn at 907-488-9685.
