Husky - Large - Senior - Female - Dog - Fame
Description
Fame is a senior sled dog. We don't know for sure, but we think she is at least ten years old, and she may be three or four years older than that! Fame is a breast cancer survivor, and she has intermittent medical issues. Fame LOVES to run in harness...although she doesn't go fast, and she gets tired so she shouldn't go far. She runs lead, and really enjoys the opportunity. She's been running 3 - 5 miles once or twice a week and helps train new dogs, or just gets out with some of the other old dogs around here. We don't know if Fame is house trained, but probably not. She can be crabby with other dogs and does best with her own safe space rather than living in a communal pen. Fame may need additional medical attention (but her vet and our rescue group is willing to help subsidize some of this care) and she likely won't live for very many years. But if you'd like to have a sweet old dog to play with and care for, she might be the dog for you. To meet Fame, please contact Lynn at 907-488-9685 or email daisyacres@mosquitonet.com we'll waive the adoption fee for the right home.
