Spike is a young Chihuahua mix boy. We were told he is a long-haired Chihuahua, but there just has to be more to him than that. He is very affectionate, but shy at first. He will do best in a quieter home with older children, if any. He is not a mean boy, but the activity level of younger children just frightens him. He is house trained, kennel trained, and he loves to ride in cars. Effective April 1, 2009 adoption fees will be $300.00. We must do this to offset the enormous vet bills that we are incurring for the dogs that we are taking in and the increase in normal veterinary fees. Dogs and puppies adopted from Homeward Bound come from home environments, as we utilize foster homes rather than operating a shelter. The animals are always vet checked, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated, and all are spayed or neutered. Excellent pre and post adoption support is available to answer any questions you might have regarding care, behavior and training.
